We are a dedicated group of local volunteers who, in partnership with the ACA Central Region field staff, plan and deliver key services to camps and camp professionals in the ACA Michigan local office. We are looking to grow our LCOL and are looking for individuals who not only love camp but enjoy connecting with other camp professionals
The LCOL Member-at-Large can provide a range of duties, including, but not limited to: serving as an LCOL liaison to affiliate organizations; coordinate with LCOL committees; serve as a state representative
Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of and passion for camp and ACA
- Be an active member of ACA
Essential Responsibilities
- Listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively, work well with individuals and groups.
- Contribute to and complete quality projects/initiatives in a timely manner.
- Provide consistent guidance and support of the LCOL’s decisions and projects.
- Work as part of a committee in implementation of their established goals.
- Support and assist to implement initiatives and services.
- Support volunteer recruitment and development
- Advocate for camp needs and ACA vision.
Time Commitment
- Serve at least one two-year term.
- Attend one in-person and up to six virtual LCOL meetings.
- Communicate with staff and volunteers in a timely and professional manner.
